Skill Tiers

Metagame ranks traders across five competitive tiers.

Tier reflects verified tournament performance and serves as proof of skill across the platform.

Your Tier Determines

  • Tournament access (some competitions require minimum tiers)

  • The higher the tier, the more trading fees you earn from spectators placing bets on you

  • Tournament matching

  • Social status

The Tiers

  • Paladin: Endgame

  • Elite: High-level specialist

  • Veteran: Mid-to-late game

  • Apprentice: Learning the meta

  • Noob: Tutorial Island

Your current tier displays on leaderboards, in tournament lobbies, and on your public profile.

Other traders and spectators see your tier before you compete.

How Reputation is Calculated

Exact calculation will be released closer to product launch. Subject to development.

  • Tournament Performance: Win rate and placement across competitions, weighted by tournament size and competitor strength. Recent tournaments matter more.

  • PnL Performance: Your 30-day profit and loss percentage, normalized against other traders in your competition bracket. This measures raw results.

  • Risk-Adjusted Returns: Measures how efficiently traders generate returns relative to volatility. Consistent grinders rank higher than lucky gamblers.

  • Experience: Total competitive activity.

Tier Movement

Tiers update after each tournament:

  • Promotions: Hit tier thresholds consistently, move up

  • Demotions: Extended losing streaks or inactivity (60+ days) can lower your tier

  • Decay Protection: Your highest tier ever achieved is permanently recorded in your profile
